It's The Chocolate Factory For You, Boy!

I recently purged Turtle's dresser of the all the pajamas that were too small. Considering how full the drawer was, I was surprised to find that he really only had a couple pair that fit. Most were too small, but there are 2-3 pair that I bought around the holidays on sale- in bigger sizes for next year. If you know me, you know I rarely buy ahead but we love Hannah Anderssen jammies and they are pretty expensive, so I thought I might as well grab some deals. I guess I would have bought his current size had I known how few pair he really had, but, again, the drawer was pretty full.

Now take in to consideration that he only has a couple pairs that fit. Add to that a crazy work schedule for Dada and a worn out, pregnant, tired Mama. What you end up getting is no laundry done and a kid with no pajamas that fit to wear to bed. The smallish ones were already packed away, so I just grabbed a pair of the big ones and promised myself and Turtle I would wash his clothes, if nothing else, in the morning.
In the drawer, I had 3 choices- 2 Christmas patterns (yeah well, sale) or blue stripes. We are big fans of stripey jammies around here anyway, so they were the obvious choice. I pulled the pants on 1st and this is what I saw:

My son had become some sort of Oompaloompa!
I started to laugh hysterically, which made him crack up, which just added to the overall effect.

All the laughing inspired Turtle to run to the gate of his room and dance his way back to me. This was even more Oompaloompaish and I just couldn't get it together. It had to have been one of the funniest things I have seen in a while. (and forgive the photography. The lamp was casting a weird shadow...). Embarrassingly, if you look behind the door you can actually see the huge pile of Turtle laundry that spawned this whole freakishly funny episode.
