Big Brother!

In preparation for Twosey, Mama and Dada took Truitt to the sibling class at Texas Women's Hospital. It was pretty cute, although it was somewhat disappointing. It was Super Bowl Sunday- not something that plays a big role in our schedule, but it definitely had an impact on class attendance. There were only 2 families, including us. Oh well.

The class started with a little video talking about what it means to be a sibling. Tru watched intently, but it was hard to know how much he truly absorbed/understood. The real cuteness was him holding the baby. The dolls were wearing little diapers. The older girl from the other family got to practice changing the diaper. Truitt watched Mama very carefully and then his big brother job was to put it in the trash. He thoroughly enjoyed that task.

One of the tricks we learned about was how to tell if something is too small for Baby to play with. The nurse had a toilet paper tube. If a toy can fit in the tube, it's too small and not good for baby. In typical Turtle fashion, Tru decided to see if his hands were too small for Baby Brother to play with:

Apparently, they are!

At the end of class, the kids got sibling t-shirts- Big Brother for Turtle, Big Sister for his counterpart. They also got a little certificate for attending the class. Aw! I think he is going to be a great big brother either way!
