A Barrel of Monkeys

That's Truitt's life. More fun than a barrel of monkeys. He loves everything and has fun wherever he goes. That's not to say he behaves wherever he goes, but he enjoys himself. One of the great things about this age is anything and everything are still amusing. I have never seen the kid get bored.

This is birthday season. Most of the kids we know have birthdays between September and January. It keeps our weekends packed and Truitt on the go, but he loves a good party. Recently we went to Marion's 1st birthday. Mar is a plucky red head who loves tutus. Because of the age difference, T and Mar aren't really playmates but I am friends with her mom and was so happy we could help them celebrate a huge milestone.

Even though Marion is a girl and a lot younger, Truitt still found her toys plenty amusing- especially the baby pool full of balls.

The excitment was all too much for him and he ended getting a firm talking to from Dad.

Immediately after Marion's party we drove across town to Phillip's Third birthday. Phillip and Truitt are thick as theives. They are so funny together. I think they're both a little precocious, so they suit eachother. I would say that Phillip is probably the 1st kid that I ever saw Truitt have a real conversation with where they laughed/ got eachothers' jokes. Luckily for us, we really enjoy spending time with Phillip's parents too.

There were a lot of kiddos at Phillip's party but as soon as Truitt showed up they were off on their own. It was so cute. Here are some great pics of them in action:

They are missing their 3rd muskateer, Benjamin. I had a couple pictures with him but they all had this bad shadow (must.learn.how.to.use.camera.). SO sad. There are plenty of the 3 of them floating around though. You will see adorable B again soon enough :)

And what, you may wonder, does Mathis do while Truitt is having all this fun? Hangs out and gets smothered in mama kisses!
