Mathis at 4 Mos

On Wednesday I took Mathis for his 4 month check up. Things have been crazy with his sleep, so I was happy to have an appointment anyway. As you can tell from the pictures, he is definitely growing. He is very long but skinnier than Truitt was at this age. He's also a little bit of a pee head. Awwwwww

STATS

Height/Length: 26" (75-90%)

Weight: 15 lbs 7 oz (50%)

Head: 16 3/4" (50-75%)

So, not too shabby. Our cute, happy boy.

Sadly, sleep has continued to be a huge issue and it's getting worse instead of better. I am a little freaked out, worried that it will never go back, wondering what I could have done differently. I don't think there was anything I could have done, though. One day he was a great sleeper and the next was a day just like all the ones before but he stopped. Still, I am trying to recreate the days he slept well as much as possible. Hopefully this is truly a 4 mos wakeful period and it will be over soon... To help, we did put him on some Prevacid. I don't love medicating my kids but I feel pretty certain he has some reflux issues. He had dose 3 last night and it has yet to make a serious difference, but I remain optimistic. If it does help long term, we will take him the chiropractic route that a lot of moms I know have had success with. Send us sleepy vibes, k?
