ACL Day 2 (Sat, Sept 27)

On Day 2 of ACL we picked up Anaka. This weekend she was officially renamed "The Toddler Retriever." Ha! She doesn't mind, though. She loves wee ones and is more than happy to chase them around. It was great to spend some time with her and we love introducing her to new things. This was her 1st concert and what a concert is was- several concerts all packed in to one day! I hope she enjoyed going as much as we enjoyed having her!

Elizabeth and Michael were also around. We got to hang out with them quite a bit, although the left Harrison with E's mom. Please pay extra special attention to Michael's rock star bandana. You know what they say: quiet, lawyerly type by day....

The big show Saturday night was Robert Plant and Allison Kraus--- for us anyway. I was sad to miss Beck, but I feel that opportunity will arise again. To get a good seat for RP/AK, we were going to see whomever played before them at that stage regardless. However, we got lucky with John Fogarty. Wow- did he put on a good show! It was all pretty much classic CCR. Some of his solo stuff but from the 80s. You knew every song. I was pleasantly surprised at how good he was live. You just never know with these old rockers ;-)

We did have a great location for the last show. I should add that Ray missed Fogarty b/c he was taking Tortugita back to the hotel. We got a sitter through the same service they use at the Four Seasons. She was a cute little lady with her own web page. LOL. Anyway, Ray fed him dinner and got them introduced before heading back. Getting to my spot deep in the crowd took about twice as long as going to the hotel and back. It was worth it, though. Tru got some rest and we got to enjoy the show we wanted to see more than any of the others. I have some pretty awesome video clips from RP/AK that I'll post soon. Stay tuned...
