Mother's Little Helper

The story you are about to read is 100% true: This weekend, it was mid-morning, I was nursing Mathis in his room. Sometimes I have to stick Tru in front of the tv for this because Mathis is going to go down for his nap and there is no Earthly way to keep Tru quiet. Anyhoo, I was sitting on the couch in Mathis' room and I could hear Tru milling about- obvioulsy not parked in front of the tv like I wanted him, zombie like. Generally, our house is pretty toddler proof and I have to not worry when he goes from room to room if I ever want to do things like go to the bathroom or change Mathis' diaper or empty the dishwasher. So the fact that he was hanging out in the office/laundry room was not that worriesome.
But when he started screaming "Mooommmmmmy!!! Mommy com'ere. Mooooooooommy" I started to worry. Mathis was almost done with his mid-morning meal, so I figured I could wait a few more seconds and that the house would still be standing and Truitt would still be alive when I emerged from the nursery. "Mooooooooommy. Com'ere. Com'ERE!!!" I heard again.
So, Mathis was safely in his crib and I went to look for T. Here is what I found (and was able to photograph by luckily keeping my camera on my desk):

Truitt was loading laundry. Mathis' laundry basket was in front of the washer and apparently my sweet 2 year old decided to be helpful and load it up.
He shut the door.
And pushed the power button.
How freaking cute is that? Now, if I can just teach him about cycles and how to put detergent in, we'll be all set.
