Wednesday, I took the kiddos downtown to Ray's office so we could all have lunch. This was Mathis's first trip to Porter&Hedges to be center of attention, a role which Big Brother has often occupied over the last 2 years. It has been a while since Truitt has been there as well and this trip was significant because he actually knows now what it means when we say "Dada is at work" and "Dada's office." He did his best "shy", doing his lovely rendition of "Twinkle, Twinkle" with his back to his adoring fans. Meanwhile, Mathis was just along for the ride.
Here are some snapshots from the adventure:

Getting straight to work
Here are some commemorative couch shots of Truitt and Mathis on baby's first visit- CAUTION- Extreme Cute Ahead:
I love this one- Mathis kept falling over and here Truitt is trying to right him for the picture.
Mathis and Truitt get some attention (and of course several people commented on how beautiful Anaka is. I always have to add that she is a straight A student and about as respectful and well behaved as a 12 year old can get. All around perfect kiddo)
"Let's go, Dada"
We planned on just going across the street to Jason's Deli, but when we got there the line was practically out the door. I suggested we take the t.r.a.i.n. down to Julia's Bistro, where Ray and I often like to go when we have work week lunch dates. It's a little nicer than Jason's and, while not exactly kid geared they are always friendly and accomodating.
Our little commuters, waiting for the train
Truitt very much enjoyed it
Anaka, who is always forced to eat outside her comfort zone, reading the menu. She got the chipotle chicken salad sandwich and very much enjoyed it!
