In order to maintain his place as the boys' favorite uncle, Uncle Eddie sent some unexpected presents. For Mathis, books. For Truitt, a crazy blue dinosaur piggy bank.
Tru was very excited when we took it out of the box. I am fairly certain he didn't even know what it was at that point. Other than a dinosaur, of course.
I scrounged up some change and the boys got straight to work on Truitt's college fund.
And if you are wondering why Mathis isn't wearing pants... I can't remember.
Eventually we were out of spare change and Truitt had enough of sharing the dino-bank with his brother, so off to his room it went. Every once in a while, when he has been a very good boy, I will "find" some spare change around and he can put it in his bank. Mathis is always a wee bit frustrated by it, though, since he insists on trying to put the plastic pirate money in it when pirate money is clearly too big for a piggy bank.
