You already know that Turtle wouldn't wear his hamburger costume for Halloween, but that didn't stop the family from enjoying some fun. Our neighborhood park had their 2nd Annual Fall Festival. We got to see tons of friends and all the kids looked so cute! Being at Turtle's fave park meant he was going to have a good time no matter what. AND he was in costume after all. We got to the park to find that Turtle had dressed up as Alan Lindsey!!
The best part was seeing so many friends at once. Playgroup friends, neighborhood friends, and Nestie friends were all in attendance. (There were so many cute pix, I decided to keep them all small, but you can click on a photo and it will blow up full screen.)
Turtle and Dada survey the event; Benjamin The Spider- and playing DJ
Lila's favorite pasttime; Katherine on the move; Mimi and Truitt play some catch
Truitt butters up a cop with his dance moves; Landon as Park Ranger; Sidney
Charlotte, in what has to be my fave costume of the night; S&S; Hannah (sadly I neglected to get a pic of Hannah's older brother, Sam, who was the cutest Greaser ever. Sorry Sam)
Landon and Alexander, aka Captain Feather Sword (but is that a sword or something else? Hmmm); Syd swings; Lila on the slide working the monkey feet
Jacob with his Daddy (Mama was performing in a spooky opera!); Ray wants to be Captain; Joel, Michelle, Jordan and Gabriel
Just another pic that is too cute to pass up!
Councilman Peter Brown showed up at the party for some handshaking as well. He brought a couple of guys who are claiming to endorse him. Luckily, it was a guy we really like in the McCain mask- Peter's Chief of Staff Maverick, who is a friend of ours from the hood. Peter is running for mayor next term. I am looking forward to seeing what he can do for the betterment of Houston. If you would like to hear more about him and his vision, you can visit his website. http://www.peterbrownforhouston.com/
