Pump Up The Jam

As previously mentioned, we are in full Birthday season mode. This 2nd year of parties we are definitely seeing it get more about the kids. When they all turned 1, parties were an excuse for parents to get together. The second birthday is a unique combination of kid friendly and parental participation.

This was definitely the case at Landon and Sydney's Two-fer party at Pump It Up. The giant bouncy houses and slides are a fave party activity of kids, but the Dads always seem to enjoy them as well. This then leaves Moms time for their favorite activity: chatting. Both generations definitely get to enjoy a Pump It Up party!

There were some familiar faces as well as some that should be more familiar. It was great to see so many friends and how many of the kids we don't see as often have grown! It was fun celebrating with Syd and Landon together, and it was extra nice having an exhausted toddler afterward. ;-)

The big slide was definitely the hit of the party with every Dad taking a turn with their tyke. Some moms, too, but we were mostly poised at the bottom with our cameras. Lots of kids who couldn't go up the ladder on their own still managed to come down solo. This was so fun to watch, but I think it had more to do with the Dads wanting to slide unincumbered than anything else!

Landon, The Birthday Boy, takes a ride; Alexander and Uncle Ray; Turtle and Dada prep for sliding and make a safe landing.

Anthony and Truitt take solos; Did Truitt enjoy it? The look says it all; Despite much urging from her Mommy, Alex just wasn't sure about the whole slide thing

Keller and Dave hit the ground; Milam just needed to get warmed up

Truitt and Vincent emerge from the House of Balls; Charlotte has a souvenir; Isabella in her party best (apologies for the orientation. it can't be fixed once the pic is uploaded and i thought it was vertical.... )

Birds' eye view of the cakes; Alexander is nice enough to help Truitt with his juice (while Lily looks on curiously); waiting for cake like good boys; Keller and Lily dig in to the sweets!

Look at this! I can only imagine what this conversation was about. Look at the sincerity in Truitt's hand gestures and the focused and contemplative look on Alexander's face. Really- what could these two possibly be discussing? Only they can know...
