... of things I never thought I would see.
First up, snow in Houston. Not just any snow in Houston. I thought I *might* see that at some point again after Christmas '04 when all of South Texas was blanketed (we were in Corpus). What I never thought I would see was snow on Wednesday when it was 75 degrees out on Tuesday and the kids were at the park in shorts. Insanity. Unfortunately my mommy brain wasn't working. I should have done like so many others I know and taken the boy outside to play in it. I just wasn't in to getting him dressed and being cold myself. I did get some pics of it falling and accumulating on my car, though.
Second, I sure as hell didn't think I would ever see my not-even-two year old serve me salad. But he did tonight! He wanted to play with the salad utensils and we were done with dinner, so I let him. I thought he would just poke around in the bowl. Not this kid. First he took a couple pieces of lettuce and put it on Ray's plate. Then, I had left a little ramekin on the table and while I was clearing the table, he was filling it with salad. I am pretty sure that 2 year olds are not supposed to have the coordination to do that... He is a funny kid.
...and please don't mind the messy shirt. He was eating cherry tomatoes and the seeds went everywhere....
