Time for Twosy

Twosy just isn't getting his/her due on the blog! Honestly, there is not much to report. I feel pretty good and the 2nd trimester is already flying by. However, Tuesday is a big day- we have the "big" ultrasound. This peek at Twosy not only makes sure everything is heading in the right direction, but it's gender peek as well. Ray and I can't wait to know if we're Team Pink or Team Blue for round two! We'll let you know as soon as we know!

This is the belly at 19.5 weeks. I swear I woke up at 10 weeks and looked 4 mos pregnant. Everyone said you show earlier and are bigger with #2 and, boy, does it apply in my case. I am fine with it. After all, I am pregnant and I got to skip the ambiguous "She could just be fat" phase.

The belly picture was taken on the night of the big Holiday Mom's Night Out my neoighborhood moms' group has every year. This was only the 2nd year I've gone, but it's a lot of fun. Clair, the owner of the restaurant, is so generous to let us pretty much take the place over. She also works with the shop owners on 19th Street to stay open late and let us shop. The restaurant sends trays of appetizers to the stores and they put out wine or specialty drinks for everyone. This year Tracy, Elmie, Jila and I went and had a great time. I didn't stand on the banquette this year, but I still enjoyed myself...

The weekend before the MNO, Ray and I headed to his firm's annual Holiday party. I really enjoy going, but we were very sad to miss Lights In The Heights. We have decided we will alternate events since they always happen on the same weekend. We did Lights last year, so off to the Coronado Club it was for us. The night is always kind of special to us b/c it was on the same night 6 years ago we got engaged. This year the party was great, but many people were surprised to see my "condition." Apparently, Ray hadn't been very forth coming with the pregnancy info. Clearly, I am beyond hiding it, so there were lots of "wow" and "who knew" comments thrown about...

Sadly we didn't take a single photo on the night we got engaged. We were lucky enough to have Magda snap one of us this year though. Twosy's first black tie event!
