Mathis's one month appoinement was this week and to no one's surprise the 24/7 nursing is paying off!
Height: 23 inches!! (95%)
Weight: 12.15 lbs (90%)
Head: 75%
So, he is a healthy boy! No surprise there. He is still having some gut issues and I have once again given up eating good stuff- dairy, i.e. cheese, ice cream, sour cream. Sigh. Oh well. Our pediatrician recommended we also try a priobotic to possibly help with digestion. We started both Truitt and Mathis on them this week and hope it will help their tossy-turny tummies! Mathis's issues are somewhat nursing related as well, as he is a very sloppy nurser and gets lots of air, therefore a lot burpy gas. I am working on it, but he's just a mess. At least we can tell by his size that the mlk is getting in!
So, here are the one month pics... I couldn't get them in the crib the same way I did last time so I put him on the floor. I told you I would be bad at this... Anyway, I decided to change "measuring sticks" and rather than use the dog, I am going to use this lovely mat/blanket that Sara, my partner on The Heights Life made for him. It's actually beautiful on the other side- cool, colorful fabrics, but I thought the back side would be easier to see. I did the 1st pics with both so we could compare with 2 weeks ago but it's probably going to be most effective moving forward...
He is wearing this crazy outfit that Sarah brought him home from Australia. There is a brand, apparently inexpensive and pretty common down there, called BONDS , and they make the cutest baby stuff in stripes and primary colors. Whenever Sarah goes home she pics up a few things for me. This is called an "easysuit", I guess b/c of the elastic opening in the back. Anyway, it looks rediculously cute on him... The second picture he is mid-sneeze. He looks a bit like he is giving me what-for. Tee hee!
