Last weekend we thought it would be fun to take Truitt to see his 1st movie. Yay, right? Well, not so much. It was a bit of a parenting FAIL to not realize that UP is rated PG- with good reason. Luckily, the parts that really threw me off (miscarriage and death) were not portrayed in a way that a 2 year old would understand. Still, I have to be glad that Tru has had plenty of exposure to dogs because a child could easily leave that movie with a fear of them. I liked the movie, but it was not what I wanted/expected for Truitt. Oh well... Still, we are glad to know he *can* go to a movie and sit and watch. There should be some other Rated G things coming out soon that he would like to see.
Mathis was also a little weener- fighting his sleep. He finally fell asleep after the previews and some discreat nursing. Once he was out, he was out, though. I held him the whole time because he seemed so cold! In fact, he was cold to the point I was worried but we took his temp as soon as we got home and it was fine.
Quite the experience...

DH and I saw UP on Sunday, and I agree. I really didn't think there was much in there that a kid could "get" and those dogs could be very scary!
