Happy Halloween

Wow! We have been busy and I can't believe it's been almost a month since I posted anything to this blog. A normal span of time went by, but then after that we went to Canada for 9 days and when we got home I had no computer because mine was at the doctor getting a tune up. Well, I am finally back in the land of the wired and have tons of pictures to upload and post (especially of Canada).

Halloween was a lot of fun. We had a lot going on this weekend and it made my head spin to think that this is life from now on- coordianting all these events for each and every holiday. It was worth it though. Now on to the pictures:

Friday night was supposed to be Truitt's school carnival but the weather was sketchy and they postponed it until next weekend. I was actually happy because Harmony was having a party and no carnival meant we could attend. I was a bad picture taker so I don't have everyone but here is a sample of the fun:

Ray as TweedleDee, me as Alice and Mathis is Turtle Junior. Diego, aka Truitt, didn't have time to pose for pictures. He was too busy going on some rock climbing adventure...

The Stanard Family; The O'Dears

The Altlands; Big Alice & Little Alice

Saturday we went to the opening festivities for Wonderwild which was great. Truitt loooved the kid powered train. When his turn was over, he would get out of the car and get right back in line. He ride it almost exclusively for the 90 minutes we were there. This is going to be a great addition to the neighborhood and I can't wait to get a membership for the family. It will be perfect for when Truitt gets out of preK at 3 next year. We can all go together and there will be something for both kids.

Mathis just hung out and watched, generally being his happy self

After Wonderwild, we headed home for a quick dinner (something besides sugar) and then Trick or Treated our way to the Fall Festival at our local park. When we were at home, Truitt was all "TRICK OR TREAT" but as soon as he hit the pavement, his shy self came out and he he had to be prompted to say both ToT and Thank You. Still, he couldn't have been cuter. Since he doesn't get candy often, it was a huge deal for him and when he had about a half dozen pieces in his Rescue Pack (Diego's backpack) he was wide eyed and said "WHOA I have A LOT of candy!"

His 1st house- our next door neighbors who were out on the porch

The second house was 2 doors down and this time he had to knock. When Allison didn't come to the door right away, he looked at me and said "It's not working."

Truitt's ToT Protocol: Approach, knock, hide behind your bag

Mathis shed his costume and decided to relax and read a book.

Then it was on to Proctor Park for the fall festival. We saw lots of friends and neighbors, played games and had a great time. We adore our neighborhood and get togethers like this are a big part of why. This was the 3rd year for the festival and it's something I look forward to attending again and again...

And for the second year in a row, my favorite costume was Ms Charlotte. Last year she was something from a Jane Fonda work out video. This year, her craft mom managed to put together the worlds cutest matador outfit!
