Happy Father's Day

Note to my husband: You have always been an amazing partner to me. You have been strong and steady and worked so hard to build a life for us that is beyond anything I ever anticipated. Then, this Turtle came along. You as a father is so amazing to watch. I can't help but love you even more as you nurture and teach and love that boy. I knew you would be a loving and attentive father, but I never could have known how wholly you would throw yourself in to it; how you would grow as a man and a husband because of it. I am so proud of you and so proud to have created such a miracle with you. We have so much to look forward to as our family grows. Thank you and HAPPY FATHERS' DAY!!

Now that we have that sappy crap out of the way...

We had a nice, laid back Sunday for Fathers' Day. We took in the 'Stros with the ever-lovely Perises. This was our 1st game of the season and I was a little nervous about taking the toddler vs last summer when we took the baby. He did great, though. He was very interested in the game at first and, when he tired of that, he was very interested in all the people sitting behind is. It didn't hurt that we were Row 12, 8 rows behind the dugout. It made everything very close and interesting for the kiddos. As always, Turtle attracted the eye of a blond and proceeded to flirt mercilessly for about 3 innings. I mean, really! I thought boys were supposed to think of their mothers as the ideal, but this kid goes for the blond every time. **sigh**

Packed house for Astros v Yankees; Turtle getting a smooch as he watches the game; Lila; the Peris clan

Turtle dreaming of a beer cart (oh, sorry. that was me...); stretching his legs and trying mama's patience- all at the same time.

So, they have this kind of cheesy photo op thing at the ball park where you can pretend to catch a ball. Shannon and I stopped by with the wee ones and snapped a couple photos. So cute!!

What a touching note to your husband. I'm sure he feels the same way about you as a mom. The word that comes to mind when I read about you and your family is brilliant. You continue to amaze me, Viula. Keep up the great blog. I love it!
