Turtle and I attended a playdate at the home of Gus and Mindy last week. Mindy is an art teacher and of course having an art teacher as mom makes for cooler play activities than having a mom who watches tv. So, Turtle got artsy and dirty using all kinds of interesting splatter and avant garde brush techniques. The finished work is a materpiece, if Mama does say so herself. Also attending the playdate was Alex. As the girl in the group she definitely demonstrated the restraint and well behaved manners of a lady. My boy, well, that's another story... Ha!

After painting, the kiddos all sat down for a snack. Food brings out the best in Turtle for sure. We had a really great time and look forward to hosting a playdate soon as well. First, I have to think of something more creative than DVRed episodes of Oprah...
